The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region I Extension Office, in partnership with the LGU Alaminos City and the City Cooperatives Development Office, successfully conducted a Training-Workshop on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for cooperatives in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.

The two-day workshop, held on November 18–19, 2025 at the Blessed Purple Bamboo Resort in Barangay Telbang, aimed to orient and capacitate cooperative officers on the fundamentals and applications of mediation. A total of 39 participants from various cooperatives and the LGU Alaminos City took part in the activity.

City Cooperatives Development Officer Solomon B. Tablang, DPA, formally welcomed the attendees, CDA resource persons, and facilitators, and delivered the opening remarks.
The CDA ADR Team, headed by Atty. Katherine F. Ellorin and composed of CRITS Sr. CDS Filipina H. Porio, CDS II Walter M. Mendoza, and CDS I Edgar S. Ibuan, discussed the importance of mediation, its basic principles, ethical standards, and other essential concepts in resolving intra-cooperative issues and disputes—key elements in promoting safe and sound cooperative operations.

During the plenary sessions, participants shared their insights and key learnings from the workshop. Many expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm, noting that they felt motivated and better equipped to apply their new knowledge within their cooperatives, among their members, and in their respective workplaces.
