Tayug, Pangasinan. The Alternative Dispute Resolution Training-Workshop was successfully concluded on January 21-22, 2026, at Tayug Training and Assessment Center (TATAC), Tayug, Pangasinan, marking an important step toward strengthening conflict management, dispute resolution and good governance of cooperatives in Tayug.
The training-orientation was conducted by CDA Region I Extension Office (CDA R1) in partnership with Municipal Government of Tayug and Municipal Agriculture Office. It was participated by twenty-four (24) cooperative leaders and officers in Tayug. The said training-orientation was aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and practical skills in resolving disputes and settling conflicts efficiently, fairly and amicably without resorting to stressful, lengthy and costly litigation.

Agabas also encouraged participants to serve as advocates of peaceful dispute resolution and to integrate ADR practices such as mediation and conciliation into their cooperatives. After the mock session on the second day, the participants expressed their appreciation for the skills-based assessment and noted the relevance of the mediation training to their day-to-day affairs, interaction and cooperative operation. Many participants highlighted that the ADR training deepened their understanding of how effective dispute resolution contributes to the cooperative organizational stability and member trust.
