Oroquieta City Mayor Expresses Strong Support for CSF Cooperative

Oroquieta City, November 10, 2025 — In a recent promotional activity with local government officials and cooperative leaders, Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta of Oroquieta City expressed his full support for the Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Cooperative, a grassroots organization dedicated to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and fostering economic growth.

The delegation, led by Director Joselito O. Hallazgo of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Head Office and Senior CDS Maryann Gabutan of CSF Region 10, met with the City Mayor to discuss potential partnerships and the benefits of organizing a CSF Cooperative in the city.

During the meeting, the CDA personnel explained how the CSF Cooperative operates and its role in promoting economic development within the community. Mayor Acosta showed keen interest and shared his insights on the significance of cooperatives in strengthening local economies.

Mayor Acosta committed to joining the CSF Cooperative and expressed unwavering support for initiatives that promote economic development. “I am willing to support any activities that help MSMEs and contribute to our city’s progress,” he said. He also assured the delegation, “You can count on me—consider us as the 49th CSF Cooperative.”
