Davao Oriental Conducts Barangay Outreach Caravan

The province of Davao Oriental successfully relaunched the Nag-kakaisang Lingkod-Bayan ng Davao Oriental Barangay Outreach Caravan (NLD-BOC) on September 8-9, 2025, at the Municipality of Baganga, and September 11-12, 2025, at the Municipality of Lupon, with active participation from the different partners and stakeholders especially the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XI.

This initiative aims to extend government programs directly to remote barangays in Davao Oriental, ensuring accessible services while promoting sustained peace and order across the province. Notably, Davao Oriental was officially declared insurgency-free on September 19, 2022, marking a significant milestone reinforced by outreach efforts like the NLD-BOC.

The program united Local Government Units and partner government agencies, including CDA, DepEd, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, PhilHealth, TESDA, DTI, and PSA, to deliver vital services efficiently to community members within their own barangays. Residents greatly benefited from the convenience and support provided by this collaborative outreach.

During the caravan, the CDA primarily focused on information dissemination, introducing the agency to the community and familiarizing them with the services it offers. This engagement is crucial in building awareness and trust, highlighting the government’s commitment to being accessible and responsive to the needs of its citizens. Programs like NLD-BOC play an essential role in strengthening community-government ties and fostering inclusive development throughout Davao Oriental.###
