CDA-XII HOLDS 3-DAY TRAINING-WORKSHOP ON CBCR FOR FARMER COOPS

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XII held a three-day Training-Workshop on Cooperative Business Continuity and Resiliency (CBCR) for Coconut Farmers on September 1-3, 2025, at London Beach and Resort, Brgy. Bawing, General Santos City. The Training-Workshop was organized for coconut farmers under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP). The Cooperative Program Development Assistance Section (CPDAS) led the activity. Seventy-one (71) participants from 30 different cooperatives across the region attended the event.

The seminar focused on key topics related to Cooperative Business Continuity and Resiliency, including:
· Assessment of the current capacity and circumstances of cooperatives
· Development of strategies and action plans to maintain and strengthen operations
· Core principles guiding cooperative resilience and sustainability
· Hands-on sessions for self-assessment, action planning, and monitoring

Resource speakers Adrian C. Carillo, MPA, and Yvonne L. Templonuevo shared their expertise, providing valuable knowledge and practical tools to help cooperatives build stronger, more sustainable operations.

At the end of the event, participants shared positive feedback. They commended the seminar for being well-organized, with excellent food and a great venue. Many expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to attend, highlighting how much they learned and how useful the training workshop will be for improving their respective cooperatives.

The seminar concluded with the awarding of certificates to all participants and resource speakers in recognition of their active participation and valuable contributions.
