CDA Region EO XII Strengthens Coco Farmers’ Coops with GAD Policy Formulation, Plan Preparation, and Assessment Tool Training

Lebak and Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat – The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Extension Office XII has strengthened the coconut farmers’ cooperatives by conducting training on Gender and Development (GAD) policy formulation, plan preparation, and assessment tool utilization. The two-day activity was held on October 28-29, 2024 in Lebak Sultan Kudarat.

This initiative is part of the ongoing partnership between the CDA and the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Program (CFIDP). By equipping cooperatives with the knowledge and skills to integrate GAD principles into their operations, the CDA aims to promote gender equality and empower women in the coconut industry.

Emilia M. Bair and Samantha Shen Louis T. Montealto of the CDAXII were the resource speakers and facilitators in the activity collaborated with Novelyn Castillo, Municipal Cooperative Officer of Lebak LGU.
