Building Stronger Communities Through Unity and Cooperation

AGUSAN DEL NORTE — The establishment of Cooperative Development Councils (CDCs) in the municipalities of Jabonga, Carmen, and Tubay on March 17 and March 25–26, 2026 marks a significant step toward strengthening the cooperative sector at the local level.

The initiative provides a formal platform for cooperatives to actively participate in local governance and development planning. It brings together cooperative leaders, local government units, and partner agencies to enhance coordination, address sectoral concerns, and align programs for greater impact.

With the creation of the CDCs, cooperatives are further recognized as key partners in community development. The councils are expected to improve collaboration, maximize opportunities for growth, and support initiatives that promote economic resilience and inclusive progress across the municipalities.
