(The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XIII Extension Office solemnly yet enthusiastically celebrated the International Day of Cooperatives (IDC) 2026, alongside the celebration of Philippine Arbor Day, today, July 4, 2026, in Brgy.

Roble through his Municipal Cooperative Development Officer, Mr. Glenn S. Jaen, and the Municipal Environment and Natural Resource Office (MENRO) – Buenavista.)

(Early in the morning, a successful tree planting activity was conducted where around 200 propagules were wholeheartedly planted the CDA personnel together with the MENRO and LGU Buenavista)
(This step demonstrates the serious commitment of the said agencies to protecting and caring for our environment.)
(The day did not end with just the tree planting, as come afternoon, all Cooperative Financial Clusters (CFCs) from Butuan City and the Municipality of Buenavista gathered for a productive Afternoon Learning Session wherein Mediation and Conciliation Training and Cooperative Business Continuity and Resiliency (CBCR) Training are conducted)
Nahimo kining dalan aron magbayloay og ideya, makat-on sa mga bag-ong pamaagi, ug mas mapalig-on pa ang dagan sa mga kooperatiba sa rehiyon.
(This served as an avenue to exchange ideas, learn new strategies, and further strengthen the operations of cooperatives in the region.)
*(“This celebration is highly significant because it proves the seventh principle of cooperatives — *Concern for Community*”, said CDA Region XIII Regional Director, Dr. Monatao Honeya R. Alawi.)
(Dr. Alawi emphasized that this event is not just a ritual or tradition, but a living proof that cooperatives are partners in the genuine development of the community and in safeguarding nature for the next generations.)
