The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 2 and Cagayan State University (CSU) held a joint meeting on January 22, 2026 at the CSU Hotel, Andrews Campus, Tuguegarao City, to advance collaboration on capacity building and legal awareness for cooperatives.

Discussions focused on the Training of Trainers (ToT) for Cooperative Training Providers and the implementation of the CDA Law Awareness Program (CLAP). CSU is also being considered for accreditation as a Cooperative Training Provider, in line with CDA guidelines for state universities.

CLAP aims to integrate cooperative laws and principles into academic and legal practice by engaging law students and legal practitioners to support the cooperative sector.

The meeting was attended by CSU officials led by Dr. Audy R. Quebral, Vice President for Research Development, Extension and TVET, with Dr. Anderson G. Gonzales, Dr. Josie Y. Bas-Ong, and Dr. Charmie S. Calvo. CDA was represented by Atty. Nita Doreen L. Maestre-Tabbu, Ms. Annalyn L. Catulin, and Ms. Ma. Corazon B. Angoluan.
