The Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC) of Quirino convened its 3rd Quarterly Meeting on August 14, 2025, at the Provincial Agriculture Office, Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino, gathering government officials, government financial institutions (GFIs), partner institutions, and cooperative leaders to address key cooperative development concerns and plan strategic actions for the sector.
The meeting, presided over by Mr. Rolando Ducos, Provincial Cooperative Development Council (PCDC) Chairperson, was attended by Sannguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Roy Saladino, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Cooperatives, who expressed his full support for the establishment of a Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Cooperative in the province.
Also in attendance were Ms. Elmira E. Reyes, Senior CDS-CSF Section, CDA R02, who shared updates on CDA programs aimed at strengthening cooperative governance, compliance, and sustainability in cooperatives through the CSF Program; Ms. Marivic Ramento from the Land Bank of the Philippines addressed issues on loan processing, credit facilities, and documentation requirements.
Also present were the very supportive Mr. Ronald Abenoja, President of the Quirino Union of Cooperatives; Ms. Blessie Allen Tavara, representative of the Federation of Cooperatives of Quirino, and officers from various primary cooperatives in the province.
The PCDC meeting agreed to actively participate in the upcoming Quirino Day Celebration which goal is to show a coop force of the cooperative movement in the province.
