The Regional Cooperative Development Council (RCDC) recently held its 3rd Quarterly Meeting in QLIfe Café, Provincial Capitol Compound, Cabarroguis, Quirino, on August 20, 2025 bringing together members of the council in the region to discuss key initiatives and mandates of the council.

The meeting’s agenda focused on the significant emphasis on the implementation and realization of the Philippine Cooperative Development Plan (PCDP) 2025-2028, which serves as the Cooperative Development Authority’s roadmap to promote the growth and viability of cooperatives as instruments of social justice, equity, and economic development. The council’s discussion focused on how local and regional initiatives can be aligned with the national plan.

Also discussed during the meeting is the participation in the 4th CMPL Coop National Summit to be held on September 11-13, 2025, at the Citystate Asturias Hotel Palawan in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, a significant event for cooperatives to strengthen the individual capacities of cooperatives and also foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

The council also began the preparation for the celebration of Cooperative Month in October 2025. Proposed activities were presented to the body for final revision and approval. With a finalized list of activities, the region is now ready for festive Cooperative Month, supporting the message of solidarity and cooperation.

The success of the 3rd Quarterly Meeting strengthens the council’s commitment to strengthening the cooperative movement and its contribution to regional and national development.
