The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 3 Extension Office hosted the Oath-taking Ceremony and Induction of Newly Elected Regional Clustered Organization (RCO) Officers on August 03, 2026, at SACOP Ephtha, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

This milestone event served to formalize the leadership of key cooperative sectors across the region and strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration. Bringing together newly elected leaders, cooperative advocates, and sector representatives, the activity highlighted the vital role of unified governance in championing socio-economic development and cooperative empowerment.

The formal program commenced with opening ceremonies and preliminary remarks from distinguished guests including Usec. Alexander U. Raquepo, CDA Undersecretary, Ms. Marieta P. Hwang, Regional Director of CDA Region 3, Ms. Carolina M. Miguel, Assistant Regional Director of CDA Region 3.

The ceremony saw broad participation from officers representing six (6) distinct regional cluster organizations, reflecting the comprehensive scope of the region’s cooperative movement. The first cluster represented the Credit and Financial Services, Banking, Credit Surety Fund, and Insurance sector. The second comprised Consumers, Marketing, Producers, and Logistics. The third cluster covered Human Services, including Health, Housing, Workers, and Labor Service. The fourth focused on Education and Advocacy. The fifth cluster represented Agriculture, Agrarian, Aquaculture, Farmers, Dairy, and Fisherfolk. Finally, the sixth cluster encompassed Public Utilities, including Electricity, Water, Communications, and Transport. The collective presence of these diverse sectors underscored a strong commitment to cross-sectoral solidarity and integrated regional growth.

The central highlight of the day was the formal induction and oath-taking ceremony, during which the elected officers from all six clusters solemnly pledged to fulfill their duties, uphold the values of their respective organizations, and work towards the sustainable advancement of their sectors.

Leaders from each cluster then shared brief messages highlighting the core principles of ethical stewardship, proactive governance, and shared accountability. To formalize their devotion to sectoral leadership, the newly elected officers signed the Pledge of Commitment.

The successful conduct of the ceremony officially transitioned the newly elected RCO officers into their governance roles for the upcoming term. Beyond the formal proceedings, the event provided an immediate platform for inter-cluster dialogue, allowing leaders to exchange insights, identify common challenges, and establish preliminary networks. Moving forward, the newly inducted leadership will focus on organizing regular sectoral meetings, formulating regional action plans, and strengthening cooperative advocacy to ensure inclusive development across Central Luzon.
