The Certificate of Registration (CoR) was formally awarded to the interim officers and representatives of the six (6) founding member-cooperatives of the Olongapo City Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (OCCSFC)—marking a major breakthrough for cooperative-led financial inclusion in the region:
– Columban Credit Cooperative
– Olongapo City Government Employees Multipurpose Cooperative
– The Professional Group Multipurpose Cooperative
– Olongapo TIPO Transport Cooperative
– Zambales Medical Mission Group Hospitals and Health Services Cooperative (ZMMGHHSC)
– Olongapo-Subic-Castillejos-San Marcelino Transport Service and Multipurpose Cooperative (OSCSMTSMPC)

This landmark registration is the result of a strong multi-sectoral collaboration among the cooperative sector of Olongapo City, Local Government Unit (LGU) of Olongapo City, and the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), with invaluable technical assistance from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The CoR was officially presented by Marieta P. Hwang, Regional Director of CDA Region III Extension Office, together with CSF Section Senior CDS, Jeline D. Reyes.

The (OCCSFC) is the 51st Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Cooperative in the country, officially registered in Region III in 2026. Its primary and exclusive mandate is to administer the Credit Surety Fund, providing credit enhancement support through the issuance of surety covers for qualified Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) member-cooperatives.

This enables local entrepreneurs and strengthens cooperatives by providing access to vital funding without the need for hard collaterals—breaking down financial barriers and driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Olongapo City and beyond.

This is more than a registration – it is a shared commitment to financial empowerment, cooperative solidarity, and community-driven progress.
