The virtual activity gathered representatives from CMPL cooperatives across the MIMAROPA Region to strengthen sectoral coordination, promote participatory governance, and elect a new set of officers who will lead the cluster in the coming term.

The program commenced with the registration of participants, followed by the opening preliminaries. Regional Director Alberto A. Sabarias formally welcomed the participants through his opening message, emphasizing the vital role of cooperative leaders in fostering sustainable growth, innovation, and stronger partnerships among cooperatives in the region.

An inspirational message was delivered by Assistant Secretary Abdulsalam A. Guinomla, Head of the CMPL Cluster, who encouraged participants to continue exemplifying the cooperative values of unity, accountability, and service while working collectively to advance the interests of the Consumers, Marketing, Producers, and Logistics sector.

Before the election proper, CDA MIMAROPA presented the objectives of the activity and discussed the election guidelines pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2020-08, ensuring that the election process would be conducted in a transparent, orderly, and democratic manner.

The election proper was then conducted through the online platform, allowing qualified cooperative representatives from the different provinces of MIMAROPA to cast their votes virtually. This was immediately followed by the canvassing of votes and the official proclamation of the newly elected CMPL Cluster officers.

Representing the newly elected officials, the officers delivered their acceptance message, expressing their gratitude for the trust and confidence bestowed upon them. They likewise affirmed their commitment to work closely with CDA MIMAROPA and member cooperatives in implementing programs and initiatives that will further strengthen the CMPL Cluster throughout the region.

An Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Newly Elected CMPL Cluster Officers was officiated by Assistant Secretary Abdulsalam A. Guinomla, who administered the oath of office and reminded the new leaders of their responsibility to uphold the principles of good governance, accountability, and dedicated service to their fellow cooperatives.

The activity concluded with the Closing Message delivered by Atty. Richard E. Ilagan, Acting Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist, who congratulated the newly elected officers and thanked all participants for their active participation and unwavering support in ensuring the success of the virtual election. He encouraged the officers to lead with integrity and collaborate closely with CDA MIMAROPA in pursuing programs that will further develop and empower the CMPL Cluster across the region.
