MAGSAYSAY, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO – In celebration of the International Day of Cooperatives and Arbor Day 2026, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) MIMAROPA Regional Office spearheaded a Tree Planting Activity on July 4, 2026, in Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and cooperative social responsibility.

The activity was led by Regional Director Alberto A. Sabarias of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) MIMAROPA, who emphasized the importance of environmental conservation as a shared responsibility of cooperatives and communities. He encouraged participants to continue supporting initiatives that protect and preserve the environment while promoting the cooperative values of self-help, solidarity, and concern for the community.

The tree planting activity was conducted in collaboration with Ms. Adelfa Hornilla, Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) Focal Person, whose coordination and support helped make the activity a success. The partnership between the CDA MIMAROPA Region Extension Office and the Provincial Cooperative Development Office reflects a shared commitment to advancing sustainable development through collaborative environmental initiatives.

Representatives from cooperatives, local government units, and partner agencies joined the activity by planting tree seedlings in designated areas, symbolizing their collective commitment to building greener and more resilient communities.
