CDA NCR Conducts Internal Quality Audit of CDA MIMAROPA

The Cooperative Development Authority–National Capital Region (CDA NCR) conducted an Internal Quality Audit (IQA) at the CDA MIMAROPA Regional Office on August 18–19, 2025, in line with the Authority’s commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

The audit team, composed of Ms. Perlita R. Solis (Team Leader), Ms. May Q. Pacleb (Auditor), Ms. Jezzelen Mae M. Cuevas-Mercado (Auditor), and Ms. Melanie S. Roquiño (Observer), evaluated CDA MIMAROPA’s compliance with QMS requirements and assessed the effectiveness of its implementation.

During the two-day audit, the team reviewed core processes such as the registration of cooperatives, as well as support services including human resources, planning, legal, ICT, CRITS, SES, GSS, procurement, budget and accounting, citizen’s charter, records management, and cashiering. A management audit was also undertaken to evaluate leadership commitment and performance monitoring.

The activity formally commenced with an Opening Meeting on August 18, followed by process audits across divisions. On the second day, the auditors consolidated their findings and presented the results during the Exit Conference, which was attended by CDA MIMAROPA’s management team led by its Regional Director.

The IQA confirmed CDA MIMAROPA’s substantial compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and CDA QMS requirements. While some non-conformities and opportunities for improvement were noted, these were limited in scope and can be addressed through corrective actions. The audit also highlighted CDA MIMAROPA’s strengths, particularly its strong documentation practices and evident commitment of management and staff to uphold quality standards.

The IQA team’s report and recommendations will serve as a valuable input in further strengthening CDA MIMAROPA’s systems and processes, thereby enhancing its service delivery to cooperatives and stakeholders in the MIMAROPA Region.

This activity underscores CDA’s continuing efforts to maintain quality excellence and ensure that its regional offices remain aligned with the agency’s mandate and international standards.
