ICTD Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of CDA MIMAROPA ICT Section

The Information and Communications Technology Division (ICTD) conducted a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the Information and Communications Technology Section (ICTS) of CDA MIMAROPA as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen information systems, technology governance, and communication services across CDA regional offices.

The inspection was carried out by Mr. Justine Macarayan and Mr. Romaine Niño Talucod, who undertook a thorough review of the ICT operations of the regional office. The activity focused on evaluating the functionality, condition, and utilization of ICT equipment, including computer units, network devices, and other technology resources that support the daily operations of the office. The team also examined existing ICT work processes and discussed key concerns related to system security, connectivity, data management, and internal and external communications.

Representing the CDA MIMAROPA ICT Section, Ms. Fatima C. Arroyo provided a detailed presentation of the office’s current ICT infrastructure, ongoing activities, and initiatives being implemented to ensure reliable technical support for all divisions. She was assisted by Mr. Ronnel Kaw, Contract of Service personnel, who helped address technical inquiries and shared insights on the operational challenges encountered by the section.

The inspection also served as a valuable platform for dialogue between ICTD and the regional ICT team. Recommendations and best practices were discussed, including possible system enhancements, equipment upgrades, and strategies to improve efficiency and service delivery. The exchange of ideas reinforced the importance of aligning regional ICT operations with national standards and emerging technologies.

Overall, the activity reaffirmed CDA’s commitment to strengthening its ICT capabilities and leveraging technology to support efficient, transparent, and responsive public service delivery in the MIMAROPA Region.
