Quiray, and Acting Senior CDS Marian Concepcion, successfully formalized a partnership with the Palawan State University – School of Law through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the CDA Laws Awareness Program (CLAP).
The event was held at the office of the President of PSU and was attended by key figures from both CDA MIMAROPA and PSU. Representing the PSU – School of Law were Dr. Ramon M. Docto, President of PSU and Atty. Analissa N. Padon, Clinical & Supervising Lawyer, In- Charge CLEP. The signing of this MOA signifies a strengthened collaboration between the CDA and the PSU – School of Law, with the primary goal of the CLAP is to establish a strong partnership between the CDA and PSU to promote cooperativism and social justice. It aims to enhance the learning experience of law students by developing their sense of legal and social responsibility, especially in serving the cooperative sector. Through this program, students gain practical knowledge of cooperative laws while providing legal education, assistance, and support to cooperatives. Overall, it bridges academic learning with community service for cooperative development.
The event concluded with positive remarks from both parties, expressing their shared commitment to supporting the cooperative sector in Palawan and looking forward to the positive outcomes that the partnership will bring.
