Naga City, Philippines — March 13, 2026 – In a significant step toward enhancing financial governance and sustainability among cooperatives, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Camarines Sur Chapter (PICPA) formally sealed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) aimed at strengthening collaboration in the areas of financial education, capacity-building, and professional support for the cooperative sector.

The partnership underscores a shared commitment to promote transparency, accountability, and sound financial management practices among cooperatives across the country. Through the MOA, both institutions will work hand in hand in delivering training programs, technical assistance, and advisory services tailored to the needs of cooperative officers, members, and bookkeeping personnel.

Key provisions of the agreement include the conduct of joint seminars and workshops on basic and advanced accounting, auditing standards, and financial reporting.
