October 11, 2025 | Barangay Poblacion, Lupi, Camarines Sur

In line with the celebration of Cooperative Month, five (5) active cooperatives in the Municipality of Lupi joined forces in a Clean-Up Drive Activity held on October 11, 2025 at Barangay Poblacion, Lupi, Camarines Sur.

The event was conducted in partnership with the Barangay Council of Poblacion, headed by Barangay Chairman Rogelio B. Santelices, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lupi, led by Mayor Christopher V. Jacinto.

The clean-up drive was spearheaded by the Lupi Multi-Purpose Cooperative, under the leadership of Chairperson Edna Y. Alberto and Manager Maria Isabel Mesias, in collaboration with the Lupi Integrated Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (LICFACO), Agrinova Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (AGFACO), Farmchoice Cacao Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (FACFAC), and Del Carmen Farmers Agriculture Cooperative.

The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness and cleanliness within the community, while strengthening the unity and cooperation among local cooperatives. To ensure an organized and efficient clean-up, participants were divided into three (3) routes:

• Route 1: Barangay Hall to LGU Lupi Municipal Hall – Lupi Multi-Purpose Cooperative & Del Carmen Farmers Agriculture Cooperative

• Route 2: Barangay Hall – Market – Boulevard – Lupi Integrated Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (LICFACO)

• Route 3: Barangay Hall – Heroes Park – Zone 2 – Agrinova Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (AGFACO) & Farmchoice Cacao Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (FACFAC)

A total of 80 cooperative officers and members actively participated in the activity. Their teamwork and enthusiasm exemplified the true essence of the cooperative movement — working together not only for economic progress but also for community development and environmental care.

The Lupi Cooperatives Clean-Up Drive stands as a testament to the cooperative sector’s continuous commitment to fostering solidarity, responsibility, and shared action toward a cleaner and better Lupi.
