In the meeting attended by the Director of Cooperative Development Authority Region VI, Dr. Nora P. Patron, the Board of Directors of La Castellana 1 Personnel MPC (LC1PMPC) and Mayor Alme Rhummyla Nicor-Mangilimutan of La Castellana, Negros Occidental on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at the Office of the Mayor , discussed a proposal to help the vulnerable members of the community particularly the market vendors, tricycad drivers, and the farmers in their need of capital in order to increase livelihood opportunities.
The concept introduced by Dr. Patron focus on how the LGU and the cooperative can help to mitigate the proliferation of 5-6 financial service providers in the municipality.
