ππππ ππππ, ππ‘π’π₯π’π©π©π’π§ππ¬ β The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 7 Extension Office welcomed delegates from Vietnam on Thursday, 5 March 2026 as part of the learning exchange program under the partnership of AgriCOOPh Federation and the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Confederation (DGRV).
The five-day international learning exchange is one of the results of a three-year partnership between AgriCOOPH Federation and DGRV which focuses on capacity building, production trainings and climate resiliency mechanisms.

AgriCOOPh Federation Chief Executive Officer Jose Romeo βJoebzβ B. Ebron led the delegation, that included representatives from various agriculture cooperatives, the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, and the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance. According to Mr. Ebron, the activity was designed to allow Philippine and Vietnamese cooperatives to learn from one another regarding agribusiness, farmer development, and market facilitation.
βThis project is ongoing right now and part of these activities is to facilitate learning exchanges between the two countries, especially with Southeast Asian countries. This activity was designed so that Philippine cooperatives can go to Vietnam and learn, and as well as cooperatives in Vietnam can come in the Philippines and learn how agriculture cooperatives pursue the agribusiness and the development of the farmers, especially facilitate marketing.β Mr. Ebron expressed.

Cristina H. Villamil, Regional Director of CDA R7 presented the agencyβs mandate, powers, functions and support programs for the cooperatives, for the delegates to gain a deeper understanding on how CDA functions as regulatory and developmental body for the cooperative sector in the Philippines.
The delegation also visited billionaire and large cooperatives in the region including Lamac Multipurpose Cooperative and First Consolidated Cooperative Along TaΓ±on Seaboards (FCCT) to learn their best practices and gain valuable insights on how strong leadership, member participation, and innovation, drive sustainable growth in agriculture cooperatives.

CDA R7 believes that this initiative from the sector strengthens regional collaboration and reinforces shared commitment to empowering cooperatives through capacity building, knowledge sharing, and agribusiness development. // (ATC, LYMP)
