In a ceremony marked by professionalism and enthusiasm to public service, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region VII formally installed its newly designated officials on July 9, 2026 at CDA R7 Extension Office, 2F Cooperative Bank of Cebu, M. Velez St., Guadalupe Cebu City to continuously attend administrative and regional mandates.
The installation follows the retirement of Regional Director Cristina H. Villamil, who served the cooperative sector for 34 years sharing invaluable contributions and exemplary leadership.
To ensure the seamless continuity of operations and the uninterrupted delivery of services to cooperatives throughout the region, Ms. Gloria V. Barrido, Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist, was formally installed as Acting Regional Director, while Atty. Fritzie S. Lacanaria-Uchibori, Legal Officer III was installed as Acting Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist.
The installation ceremony was administered by Dr. Emmanuel M. Santiaguel, CDA Administrator. He conveyed a message of unity, commitment and purpose to all CDA R7 personnel reflecting it to the CDAβs Vision of becoming a trusted authority on cooperative development anchored on being Technology-driven, Results-oriented, and Unified in Purpose. He underscored the importance of good governance in the exercise of the CDA mandates, with his directives to fully support the newly designated officials as they embark another chapter, another role to take in the name of public service.
RD Villamil also graced the installation to show her full support, trust and confidence to the newly designated officials.
As CDA Region VII welcomes its new leadership, the entire workforce remains steadfast in providing quality services to the cooperative sector in Central Visayas. //ATC
