The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), in partnership with the Office of Senator Bong Go, successfully distributed financial assistance to cooperative beneficiaries under the Malasakit sa Kooperatiba program.

A total of 65 out of 117 cooperative beneficiaries from Regions VI, VII, and VIII in the Visayas received their financial assistance during the ceremonial turnover held at the Guadalupe Sports Complex.

Senator Bong Go, who initiated this program, expressed his full support for the growth and development of cooperatives. He encouraged the beneficiaries by saying “Palaguin ninyo ang inyong negosyo at kooperatiba. Pag lumago na yan, ang kita dalhin ninyo sa inyong pamilya”. According to him the goal of growth is to bring prosperity back to families.

The distribution was led by CDA officials ASec. Myrla B. Paradillo, ASec. Vergel M. Hilario, OIC IDS & CPDAS Head Melissa C. Santos, Region VI Director Antonio C. Escobar, Region VII Director Cristina H. Villamil, Region VIII Director Venus M. Jornales, and USec Joseph B. Encabo, Consultant from the Office of Senator Bong Go and former Chairman of the CDA.

In addition to the financial assistance, beneficiaries also received gift packs and groceries courtesy of Senator Bong Go further demonstrating the program’s commitment to holistic support for cooperatives.
