The Tacloban City Cooperative Union (TCCU) has officially been awarded a Certificate of Accreditation as a Cooperative Training Provider (CTPro) by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). The certificate, along with a pledge of commitment, was received by Ms. Azucena A. Quijano, TCCU Chairperson, together with Ms. Ruena Mate, Tacloban City Cooperative Development Officer, and her staff. The awarding was officiated by CDA Regional Director Venus M. Jornales.
This milestone marks a significant advancement in the effort to institutionalize a well-coordinated, rationalized, and standardized system of education and training for cooperative officers and members across Region VIII. The accreditation underscores TCCU’s strong commitment to empowering cooperatives through quality capacity-building initiatives and reinforces its vital role in the continuing development of the cooperative movement in the region.
