CDA-DAR Registration Caravan: ARB Organizations Forging Forward as Cooperatives

The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), in a joint effort with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), registered thirty-three (33) agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs). The pre-work activities were productively undertaken with the teamwork of CDA and DAR field and regional personnel. The conversion of these ARBOs into cooperatives is an intentional strategy to afford them juridical personality, open assistance opportunities from government agencies and foster their sustainability. Certificate of Registration and Certificate of Compliance were awarded to the newly minted cooperatives during the ARB Summit Cum DAR-CDA ARBO Cooperative Registration Caravan held at The Tropics at MacArthur Park, Palo, Leyte last September 5, 2025.

No less than CDA Chairman Under Secretary Alexander B. Raquepo, DAR Regional Director Robert Anthony P. Yu and CDA Regional Director Venus M. Jornales proudly awarded the Certificates to the cooperatives. During the activities of the Summit, Assistant Regional Director Maripaz M. Del Pilar of CDA rendered the Post-registration Orientation (PRO) for the benefit of the said cooperatives. DAR and CDA Region VIII Extension Office agree to formalize their partnership through signing at the event the localized Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to introduce innovations that include new strategies to facilitate faster and easier registration of ARBOs, strengthening and capability
building and even in the accreditation of trainers for both DAR implementers and ARBO officers.
