The Cooperative Development Authority β Cordillera Administrative Region Extension Office (CDA-Car EO), through Ms. Donna Dela Cruz, CDS II, participated in the first Kapihan Council of the Kalinga Provincial MSME Development Council held on August 8, 2026, at the Grand Zion Garden Resort, Bulanao, Tabuk City.
As a member of the Kalinga Provincial MSME Development Council, the CDA-CAR EO joined various member agencies and stakeholders in recognizing their accomplishments and initiatives in support of the Kalinga MSME Development Plan 2023β2028.
The First Kapihan Council served as a venue for members to communicate, share, and showcase their accomplishments, ongoing programs, projects, and activities, as well as the different interventions and assistance provided to MSMEs and other clients. It also provided an opportunity to highlight the collective efforts, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives of the council in strengthening and advancing the development of the MSME sector in the province of Kalinga.
A significant part of the activity was the Kapihan sa Kalinga, featuring the Provincial MSME Development Council, which provided a platform for the council and its member agencies to share their accomplishments, programs, projects, activities, and advocacy for MSME development with the wider public.
The Kapihan sa Kalinga was participated in by various media partners and was broadcast live with the assistance of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) β Cordillera. This media engagement helped expand the public reach and visibility of the councilβs programs, initiatives, services, and advocacy for MSME development, allowing more stakeholders and members of the community to become informed about the support and interventions available to MSMEs.
Representing the CDA during the Kapihan sa Kalinga, Ms. Donna Dela Cruz, CDS II, shared the Authorityβs participation and commitment to supporting cooperative and MSME development through strengthened partnerships and collaboration with government agencies, local stakeholders, and other development partners.
The activity underscored the importance of coordination, communication, collaboration, and collective action among members of the Kalinga Provincial MSME Development Council. Through initiatives such as the First Kapihan Council and Kapihan sa Kalinga, the council continues to provide a platform for recognizing accomplishments, sharing good practices, showcasing ongoing interventions, and strengthening partnerships toward the effective implementation of the Kalinga MSME Development Plan 2023β2028.
The CDA remains committed to working alongside the council and its partner agencies in promoting cooperative development, supporting MSMEs, and contributing to a more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable economic growth in the province of Kalinga.
