CDA-CAR Conducts its Year-End Activity at Camp Roscoe, San Juan, Abra

The Cooperative Development Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region Extension Office (CDA-CAR EO) successfully conducted its Year-End Activity on December 9–12, 2025 at Camp Roscoe, Mangolon, San Juan, Abra. The four-day activity gathered CDA-CAR EO personnel for a comprehensive program aimed at strengthening organizational alignment, enhancing competencies, and fostering teamwork among employees.

The activity was designed to refresh and deepen employees’ awareness of CDA’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic directions, while ensuring that both new and long-serving personnel are fully informed of their roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations. It also served as an avenue to revisit key policies, administrative systems, and service standards that are vital in delivering consistent, efficient, and high-quality services to CDA’s stakeholders.

Beyond knowledge-sharing, the Year-End Activity underscored the importance of teamwork, trust, and effective communication within the organization. Through structured discussions and team-building exercises, participants were encouraged to strengthen cooperation, improve problem-solving skills, and cultivate mutual respect – key elements in sustaining a positive and productive work environment.

Day 1 of the activity focused on Unit and Section Updates, as well as the re-echoing of previously attended trainings. This session provided a platform for each unit to share accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and challenges, while ensuring that learning gained from past trainings was cascaded to all personnel for broader organizational benefit.

Day 2 centered on a training-workshop on Fire Safety and Basic Rappelling, conducted in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) San Juan, headed by its Acting Head, SFO1 T. Balacang. The activity enhanced participants’ awareness of fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and safety protocols, while the practical rappelling exercise promoted discipline, confidence, and teamwork under guided and controlled conditions.

Day 3 highlighted the conduct of a Team-Building Activity through an Amazing Race, where participants were divided into three teams. The activity featured a series of challenges that required collaboration, strategic thinking, and effective communication. The friendly competition fostered camaraderie, strengthened inter-personal relationships, and reinforced the value of working together toward shared goals.

The activity concluded with a Closing Program, during which Mr. Dickson Aycud extended his sincere appreciation to all personnel for their active participation, cooperation, and enthusiasm throughout the event. He emphasized the importance of sustaining the lessons learned and the strengthened team spirit as CDA-CAR EO moves forward in fulfilling its mandate.

Overall, the CDA-CAR Year-End Activity served as a meaningful and productive venue for learning, reflection, and team strengthening – reinforcing the organization’s commitment to professional excellence, unity, and responsive public service.
