CDA–CAR Extension Office Welcomes Newly Accredited Cooperative External Auditor

La Trinidad, Benguet | November 17, 2025 — The Cooperative Development Authority – Cordillera Administrative Region Extension Office (CDA–CAR EO) formally welcomed an additional Cooperative External Auditor (CEA) today through a ceremonial oath taking held at the CDA–CAR EO. The new CEA, in the name of Mr. Jaime C. Tuali, joins the roster of accredited professionals authorized to conduct independent financial examinations of cooperatives within the Cordillera region.
Administered by the CDA-CAR EO Acting Regional Director, Ms. Felicidad R. Cenon, PhD., the oath taking marks the culmination of a rigorous accreditation process that ensures only competent and qualified auditors are recognized to serve the cooperative sector. The newly accredited CEA successfully fulfilled all documentary requirements, demonstrated technical expertise, and complied with the standards set forth under existing CDA guidelines.
To note, accredited CEAs play a critical role in enhancing cooperative operations by:
1. Providing credible and objective financial assessments;
2. Helping cooperatives comply with statutory and regulatory requirements;
3. Identifying financial risks and recommending improvements;
4. Strengthening member confidence through transparent reporting; and
5. Supporting the sector’s long-term sustainability and growth.
The addition of another accredited CEA reinforces CDA–CAR’s commitment to expanding its network of qualified professionals capable of supporting the region’s growing cooperative community. It also ensures that cooperatives have access to a wider pool of auditors who adhere to professional ethics, updated audit standards, and sector-specific guidelines.
CDA–CAR congratulates the newly accredited CEA and looks forward to their valuable contribution in advancing cooperative development in the Cordillera region. The Authority remains committed to nurturing a culture of accountability and excellence in all cooperatives, guided by its mandate to promote sound financial practices and protect the interests of cooperative members.
