From the City of Caloocan, the AMPARO TRANSPORT SERVICE and MULTIPURPOSE COOPERATIVE has done a great deal in going out of their way to be of service to their members who are in deep need because of the challenges brought about by the worldwide pandemic. To assist their members and the community in these trying times, the coop has pursued these activities:
– The coop distributed 25 kilos of rice and P600.00 emergency loan to each member of the cooperative to assist their members considering the immediate stoppage in all types of mass transportation due to COVID-19.
– Thru the endless efforts of the officials of the the coop, Bangon Bayan donated sacks of rice to their members last April 22.
– Thru their coordination with the Office of the Vice-Mayor of Caloocan City, they were able to solicit the support of Vice-Mayor Maca Asistio who along with her staff extended help to the coop members by giving rice and grocery items last April 7.
– Thru the initiative of its officers, Cong. Along Malapitan donated 133 packs of grocery items last March 27 to the members of the coop.
Indeed, as Mandy Hale has said, “There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” – FMC
