CDA-NCREO One-Stop-Shop Hand-Holding Caravan Streamlines Compliance for Micro and Small Cooperatives in Las Pinas City

In the 6th Series of CDA-NCREO Hand-Holding Caravan (HH Caravan), Las Piñas  City held its ONE-STOP-SHOP initiative on March 30, 2026 at the 7th Floor Multipurpose Facility, Las Pinas City Hall, Las Pinas City. This activity is a joint effort of the Cooperative Development Authority-National Capital Region Extension Office (CDA-NCREO) headed by Regional Director Pedro T. Defensor, Jr. and the Local Government of Las Pinas through its Committee on Cooperatives Chairperson, Councilor Lord Linley Aguilar with close participation of the Las Pinas City Cooperative Development Council headed by Ms. Nancy Felipe (LPCDC- Chair) & Mr. Romel Rana (LPCDC-Vice chair). The said caravan was designed to streamline regulatory compliance processes and assist cooperatives in securing a Certificate of Compliance (COC). It provided a comprehensive platform for cooperatives to receive guidance, support, and assistance in meeting the mandatory reports mandated by the Authority.  

Twenty-one (21) Micro and Small cooperatives from Las Pinas City participated in the HH Caravan assisted by Technical Staff from CDA-NCREO, the ACDI Team of Internal Auditors through its Chairperson, Major Gen. Gilbert S. Llanto, and Certified External Auditor (CEA) Mr. Jeffrey Torio who offered free auditing services.

The following cooperatives who successfully fulfilled all mandatory reports were issued Certificates of Compliance (COC). A total of eleven (11) cooperatives were issued their respective COC namely:

  1. Pinag-isang Yaman MPC
  2. Zois Emp. Credit Cooperative
  3. Pamayanang Nagkakaisa Marketing Cooperative
  4. Baclaran Alabang Las Pinas TSC
  5. Kabayan People’s Credit Cooperative
  6. Magnificat Central Credit Cooperative
  7. CAA Pagsasarili Talipapa MPC
  8. Talon Multipurpose Cooperative
  9. Las Pinas City hall Emp. Credit Cooperative
  10. Pangkabuhayan Transport Service & MPC
  11. Almanza Dos Bayanihan Credit Cooperative

 

This achievement underscored the dedication and commitment of cooperatives toward adhering to regulatory standards and best practices.

The collaborative effort between the CDA and the City Government of Las Pinas exemplifies the commitment by supporting the growth and sustainability of Micro and Small Cooperatives in the City by providing accessible and streamlined avenues for compliance.The Hand Holding Caravan empowers cooperatives to thrive in a conducive regulatory environment.
