Cooperative Orientation: Empowering Manila’s 3rd District

On September 22, 2025, a significant Cooperative Orientation was successfully held at the Filipino Chinese Federation Building on Dasmariñas Street in Binondo, Manila. The event brought together 201 Barangay Officials and staff from the 3rd District of Manila, all eager to deepen their understanding of the vital role cooperatives play in community development.

The orientation focused on highlighting the importance and advantages of cooperatives, aiming to equip local leaders with knowledge that can foster economic growth and self-reliance within their respective barangays. The presence of distinguished guests, Congressman Joel Chua and Councilor Jefferson Lau, underscored the government’s commitment to supporting cooperative initiatives and empowering grassroots communities. The event served as a crucial step in promoting a more cooperative and resilient future for the 3rd District of Manila.
