It was an honor to have the Honorary Chair of the Council our City Mayor Hon. Maria Laarni Cayetano (Lani Cayetano) graced the event along with her inspiring message and appreciation to all the cooperatives in Taguig City. The coop leaders were able to hear as well a message from Hon. Carlito Ogalinola, Chairman of Committee on Cooperatives and Peoples Organization, and Hon. Nicky Supan, Member of Committee on Cooperatives and Peoples Organization. TCDO and TCCDC would also like to acknowledge the presence of Director Pedro T. Defensor Jr., Regional Director of CDA-NCR for his congratulatory note for the TCCDC and for his informative updates highlighting the remarkable turn out of Taguig’s implementation of the CDA Handholding Caravan for Micro and Small. Joining RD Jun was CDA CDS Bonifacio “Bonnie “ T. Escamis, the assigned CDS for Developmental Programs in the South Sector which includes the City of Taguig.

An overwhelming total of 126 attendees from 60 Cooperatives, Heads of Offices of the City, Office of our District 1 Representative, and NGA’s including DOLE- MUNTAPARLAS and DTI NCR.

TCDO and CDA join the sector in warmly congratulating our newly elected CCDC officers: Chairperson: Col. Felino R. Natividad PAF (Ret), Koop King Multipurpose Cooperative Vice-Chairperson: Freddie P. Hernandez, Taguig Transport Service Cooperative Secretary: Danny Bueno, GRPMHS Teaches and Staff Multi-Purpose Cooperative Treasurer: Adeline G. Colarina, Continental Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative Auditor: Joel Inson, Topform Multipurpose Cooperative.

Altogether, they will define the leadership for the years 2024-2025 for the cooperative sector of Taguig being a consultative and coordinating body on cooperative programs, projects including policy initiatives and advocating for local ordinances that creates enabling the environment for the sector.
