The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), in coordination with the Valenzuela City Local Government Unit (LGU), is pleased to announce the implementation of the “Funding Support for Cooperatives in Valenzuela City” for the year 2026.
I. Program Overview. This initiative provides financial assistance to qualified cooperatives to promote growth, social justice, and inclusive economic development. A total fund of Five Million Pesos (₱ 5,000,000) has been allocated for this project.
II. Primary Purpose. The financial assistance is intended primarily for the lending purposes of cooperative members.
III. Target Beneficiaries. The Project is intended to cover the general membership of cooperatives registered and operating in Valenzuela City, but with prioritization to sectors whose cooperative-members are from, or identified with, (a) disadvantaged women and (b) OFWs and their families.
IV. Eligibility Requirements. To qualify, applicant cooperatives must comply with Section 2 of CDA MC 2024-20, including the following basic requirements:
- Valid Certificate of Registration with the CDA
- Valid Certificate of Compliance (COC)
- Valid CDA Certificate of Accreditation (as a Coop-Beneficiary Applicant)
- No unliquidated financial assistance with the CDA
V. Application Process
- Submission: Interested cooperatives must submit their applications and required documentary requirements to the CDA NCR Extension Office (CDA-NCR EO)
- Evaluation: Applications will undergo assessment and validation by the CDA NCREO.
- Approval & Release: Recommendations will be endorsed to the CDA Central Office for final approval. Funds will be released upon full compliance with government accounting and auditing rules.
VI. Monitoring and Accountability. Beneficiaries are required to submit utilization and liquidation reports. The CDA NCR-EO will conduct post-assistance assessments to measure the program’s impact on membership growth and income generation.
