The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region II Extension Office successfully conducted the First Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Premier Series on July 29, 2026, via a hybrid setup and Zoom Video Conferencing, in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya featuring the journey and accomplishments of the Nueva Vizcaya Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (NVCSFC) as one of the successful CSF Cooperatives in the country. The activity brought together eight (8) representatives from the NVCSFC Board of Directors, ninety-eight (98) viewers from various CDA Extension Offices and cooperatives through Zoom, and five (5) personnel from the CDA Region II Extension Office.

The CSF Premier Series was launched in line with Strategic Direction No. 3 on Optimizing Collaboration among Stakeholders of the CSF Roadmap 2024-2028, and in support of the CSF Service’s information and advocacy initiatives. Designed as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration among CSF Cooperatives nationwide, the series aims to facilitate knowledge exchange, promote best practices, and strengthen collaboration among CSF Cooperatives across the country. It also provides an avenue to showcase innovative and exemplary practices in CSF operations, governance, sustainable financing, and strategic partnerships with local government units and other stakeholders. This activity highlights the importance of recognizing and sharing the journey of successful CSF Cooperatives as a means of inspiring other cooperatives and stakeholders and encouraging the adoption of practices that contribute to stronger and more sustainable CSF operations.

The inaugural episode highlighted the NVCSFC’s journey and significant contribution to providing cooperatives and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with improved access to financial support and opportunities for economic growth in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.

The program was hosted by Ms. Elmira E. Reyes, Senior Cooperatives Development Specialist of the CSF Section, CDA Region II, and opened with a message from CDA Regional Director Atty. Jovilyn M. Gaffud-Marquez, who expressed support for the continued growth of the CSF Program. The event also received messages of support from national and local government officials, highlighting the CSF Program’s role in expanding access to financing for cooperatives and MSMEs, addressing financial challenges, and contributing to inclusive local economic development.

A highlight of the Premier Series was the question-and-answer session between the host and the officers of the NVCSFC. The discussion provided an avenue for the officers to share their successful and innovative practices, offering practical insights that may be adopted by newly organized and developing CSF Cooperatives and other cooperatives nationwide.

The First CSF Premier Series underscored how a cooperative can grow from small beginnings into an organization that creates meaningful opportunities for cooperatives and MSMEs. It further highlighted the importance of cooperation, commitment, and collective effort in promoting inclusive economic growth and strengthening the implementation of the CSF Program nationwide.
