The Department of Finance (DOF) donated 20 desktop computers to CDA in support to the initiative of CDA Chairman Emmanuel M. Santiaguel and the Board of Administrators to fast track the rehabilitation of the CDA Tacloban Extension Office.
The request was initiated by Dep. Exec. Dir. Giovanni Platero from the feedback of Dir. Armonio Paa that the CDA Tacloban Extension Office did have difficulty in recovering from the damage that typhoon Yolanda caused.
In a ceremonial turnover held on May 30, 2014 at the DOF Building, the DOF officially turned over 20 Fujitsu desktop computers to CDA, most of it will be used in the rehabilitation of the CDA Tacloban Extension Office IT Infrastructure, which was tremendously devastated by Typhoon Yolanda in November 2013.
The ceremony was graced by DOF Assist. Sec. Ma. Caridad Manarang, DOF Dir. Lourdes Santiago and CDA OIC Exec. Dir. Ray Elevazo. Also present, and were very instrumental in the process, were DOF MIS staffs, led by Mr. Michealangelo Aguinaldo, and some of the CDA MIS staffs.
“In the midst of the Yolanda tragedy, the DOF wants to do something worthwhile and something that will make a lasting impact, and there is no better way to do it than help an attached Agency recover from the tragedy… ,” Assist. Sec. Manarang said in a statement.
