Once again, the cooperative sector will be celebrating the Cooperative Month by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 493, October is declared as Cooperative Month.

This year’s celebration carries the theme: “Cooperatives Amidst the Pandemic, Stand for Resiliency, Strive for Sustainability” will reel-off with opening salvos in various programs and activities to be conducted in the provinces and major cities across Region 10, opening-up the floodgate of month-long different activities around the region, giving significance and importance to the advocacies that will give rise to empowered cooperatives.

For Region 10, the opening salvo for this year’s cooperative month celebration was held on October 1, 2020 (Thursday). It started with a Holy Mass at Xavier University, which was sponsored by RCDC 10.  Thereafter, a motorcade was assembled and joined by 22 coops in Cagayan de Oro City. The opening salvo of course was not complete without the opening program which was done through a virtual platform using the Zoom App sponsored by CLIMBS Insurance Cooperative. The virtual opening program was participated by 170 members from different coops in Region 10 who simultaneously hang their streamers to welcome the October Coop Month Celebration.
