Tubod, Lanao del Norte – The province of Lanao del Norte recently concluded its annual Araw ng Lanao celebration, a festival that commemorates the founding anniversary of the province and showcases its rich culture and traditions.
On July 03, 2024, at the MCC Gymnasium of Tubod, Lanao del Norte, representatives from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region 10 joined the celebration by setting up a technical assistance booth during the Lanao del Norte’s public service offerings. This is with the active participation of various government agencies and cooperatives which strengthened the province’s commitment to progress and development. Led by Mr. Edwin Pelosas, Section Head of the Supervision and Examination Section (SES) and Cooperative Project Development and Assistance Section (CPDAS), the CDA team provided various services to the public. These included: addressing queries regarding cooperative registration, amendments, and regulatory compliance and highlighting the ongoing CDA projects for interested clients.
The province of Lanao del Norte awarded Certificates of Recognition to all participating agencies, including the CDA, for their valuable contributions to the Araw ng Lanao celebration.
The Araw ng Lanao festivities also coincided with the Agri-Aqua Fair, where various municipalities showcased their products. Notably present were several cooperatives from Lanao del Norte, including Simbuco Aqua-Marine MPC, San Isidro Upper Farmers MPC, People of Abaca Special Network MPC, Andil Coconut Farmers Credit Cooperative, and Brgy. Calube Farmers MPC. These cooperatives displayed and promoted their agricultural and aqua products, along with other related goods.
The activity did not only serves as a platform to celebrate Lanao del Norte’s anniversary but also to show appreciation to the people of the province through efficient public service.
