CDA Region 10’s Successful Training of Trainers (TOT): CDA Certification Program Batch 2

After the success of the previous Training of Trainers (TOT) Certification Program for our Cooperatives Development Officers (CDO) last July 2024, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) has paved the way to a new batch of completers from Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental. Twenty- one (21) Cooperative Development Officers (CDOs) have successfully finished the 8-day course held from August 6 – 9, 2024 and August 13 -16, 2024 at N Hotel, Kauswagan National Highway, Cagayan de Oro City. The extensive 64-hour training was sponsored by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) thru its Strengthening the Implementation of Regional and Local Peace and Development Agendas in Mindanao (SPADe) / MinPAD RISE Program.

Asec Luz H. Yringco, Board Member III of the Cooperative Development Authority and Head of the Finance Cluster, graced the opening program who shared valuable lessons and insights inspiring the participants as they start the 8 day training. Mr. Lowell C. Sareno,  Advisor for Agricultural Value Chain Development of the (SPADe) / MinPAD RISE also shared about their program and advocacies as well as the importance of the partnership forged between GIZ and CDA.

The 21 Cooperative Development Officers and two (2) Cooperative Development Office personnel from Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental who have completed the Certification Program are the following, namely:  Gilda L. Saguran, Fe O. Padilla, Merlyn D. Palomares, Pearl Ju Ne P. Combong, Corazon V. Alip, Gina A. Surigao, Marissa T. Monday, Remedios R. Pelpinosas, Landy Anthony O. Hisola, Mark Anthony D. Artigas, Sherwin Marx Lee V. Alastra, Lemuel R. Cabataña Jr, Shiela May C. Clapano, Julbert C. Palma, Alice A. Coronado, Minda V. Regis, Meriam P. Macalabo, Lynnette M. Padsing, Dessie V. Canto, Judel D. Orlino, and Robert P. Ponsica, Emma B. Permahin and Marilou G. Gultian

The enthusiastic finishers received their Certificate of Completion along with their Certificate of Authority to conduct their own training within their jurisdictions. The Cooperative Development Officers (CDO), as mandated by Republic Act No. 11535, are now able to provide assistance to the cooperatives in complying with their Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) and Mandatory Trainings. 

In summation, the interactive training follows the objective and most importantly meets the participants’ expectations in furtherance of the Authority’s continuous effort to expand cooperative education through trainings, alongside partners in the local government units, non -governmental organizations, and other cooperative stakeholders.
