In order to orient cooperative officers, particularly members of the Ethics Committee, CDA Region 10 hosted a Webinar on the Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities of the Ethics Committee on July 21, 2022, via ZOOM. Ms. Marissa B. Catubig, Acting Supervising CDS, gave the welcome message and discussed the rationale of the webinar. As the activity’s resource person, Attorney III Maria Katrina Vi C. Plasos of CDA-10 delivered a thorough presentation on the particular topic. She went on to discuss the significance of the Code of Governance and Ethical Standards (CGES) and the steps that should be taken by all cooperative members.
The webinar was attended by 469 participants from the different provinces of Region 10, including Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, and Camiguin. The highlight of the webinar was during the Question and Answer (Q&A) portion, during which a number of officers raised multiple queries and consulted on issues and concerns regarding the webinar’s subject matter. The participants were given the opportunity and ample time to ask the resource person any questions they had about the topic. Atty. Plasos eagerly answered all questions and concluded the webinar by emphasizing the importance of developing and strictly implementing the necessary Code of Governance and Ethical Standards (CGES).
