The Regional Clustered Organization (RCO) for the Human Services Cluster consisting of health, housing, labor service, and workers cooperatives in Region-10 held its virtual election of officers via Zoom platform last May 23, 2024, and a consultative meeting on May 24, 2024. The meeting was attended by nineteen (19) participants from the twelve (12) cooperatives under the human services cluster.
CDA Board member and head of the Human Services Cluster, Assistant Secretary Vergel Hilario, highlighted the importance of cooperation among cooperatives and further discussed good practices, common issues, and concerns that challenge the cluster. He then proposed monthly, quarterly, and semestral meeting schedules and making use of technology in the conduct of meetings, thus, enabling officers of the cooperatives to create linkage without incurring additional traveling expenses. Asec. Hilario reinforced the idea of a strengthened RCO in the building of a more reliable national alliance.
Furthermore, Asec. Hilario underscores the need for the cooperatives to adhere to governing laws and the regulatory role of CDA relative to members of the different Regional Clustered Organizations (RCO).
