The successful inauguration of the Malaybalay City Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (MCCSFC) on July 29, 2024, at New People’s Hall, New City Hall, Casisang, Malaybalay City, marked a significant occasion for the city. In attendance were key figures such as Honorable City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran and Councilor Nikko P. Aldeguer, Chair of the Committee on Cooperatives, along with Supervising CDS of CDA, Ms. Marissa Catubig and representatives from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP). The Honorable City Mayor Jay Warren R. Pabillaran and Supervising CDS Ms. Catubig delivered inspiring messages to the new CSF cooperative.

Accentuating the organization’s nine-year journey, MCCSFC Chairperson Venus P. Lubguban and designated Cooperative Development Officer Erik Dave L. Beltran shared firsthand insights of the processes, challenges, and successes encountered leading up to its registration with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), on June 05, 2024.

The event highlighted the cooperative’s crucial role in driving Malaybalay City’s socio economic development. It is a true testament to the city government’s strong support for cooperative growth and its potential to significantly boost the local economy.
