The Cooperative Development Authority Region 10 had conducted its First Business Continuity Management Seminar for Cooperatives in Region 10 last November 23, 2020. The Business Continuity Management (BCM) for cooperatives is a blended learning program brought to you by the partnership program between the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy Philippines. The seminar enables cooperatives to be better prepared and more resilient to business disruptions brought about by natural and human-induced hazards by coming up with a business continuity plan and incorporating their existing emergency plans.
The seminar was a success with 96 participants from the provinces of Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Camiguin Participants from the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan also joined in the said program. CDA 10 will soon conduct another batch for the Business Continuity Management until such time that the majority of the cooperatives have adopted a Business Continuity Plan.
