In observance of International Peace Day (Sep.21) and National Peace Consciousness Month, CDA held a Special Convocation last Monday, Sep21, at CDA Central Office attended by CDA officials and employees. During the convocation, the importance of peace education was highlighted especially the need to instill greater public consciousness and understanding on the comprehensive peace process as well as the government’s peace constituency building initiatives.
For the part of CDA, Administrator Pendatun Disimban discussed the initiatives being undertaken by the Agency, specifically the Board Resolution passed by the Board of Administrators in support of the peace process between the government and MILF cascading the gains of having a peaceful and healthy environment to the benefit of co-op members throughout the country. He cited the importance of passing the #BBL saying it will not only benefit Mindanao but the entire country as well as it will ultimately boost our economy especially in the field of tourism. As peace partners, CDA enjoins OPAPP in this celebration through conduct of peace activities and during the convocation, the Harmony Prayer and Pledge of Peace were recited by all employees of CDA.
