Quezon City. The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) has successfully completed the audit cycle for the ISO 9001:2015 Certification of its established Quality Management System (QMS). The Second Surveillance Audit, which is the last audit prior to the renewal of the said certification, was conducted by the audit team from the Certifying Body, TUV Rheinland Philippines, Inc., on December 1-6, 2023. The surveillance audit covers the provision of cooperative registration and amendment, supervision and examination, development support and assistance, and research information and training processes of the identified six (6) auditees as follows:
01 December 2023
a) CAR Extension Office
b) Region VIII Extension Office
04 December 2023
a) Region V Extension Office
b) Region II Extension Office
06 December 2023
a) Region IX Extension Office
b) Head Office
The Certifying Body’s team concluded the surveillance audit by recommending the maintenance of the existing certification to the Authority given that the corrective action for the identified one (1) minor nonconformity is accepted. The team also commended the Authority’s exemplary performance in 2022 to 2023 and for receiving various recognitions such as the Unmodified Opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) and the highest customer satisfaction feedback rating from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), among others. On 30 October 2024, the Authority will undergo a renewal of its certification to commence another three-year audit cycle.
Apparently, the sustained certification of the Authority is a strong manifestation that it continuously conforms to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 Standard because its established QMS is still effective, efficient, and produces desired outcomes. END.
