During the 43rd ASEAN Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF) Virtual Meeting on October 26, 2021, the Philippines reported the highlights of the 22nd ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Agricultural Cooperatives (ASGWAC) held last September 16, 2021. The Philippines, through the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Delegation representative Deputy Administrator (DA) Ray Elevazo, gave updates and relevant notes on improving the competitiveness and sustainability of ASEAN agricultural cooperatives, primarily through value chain development, capacity-building measures and investment on digitization. DA Elevazo attended on behalf of CDA Chairman Joseph B. Encabo and ASec. Virgilio R Lazaga.
This year’s 43rd AMAF Meeting is being chaired by Indonesia with nine other ASEAN Member-States (AMS) in attendance.
