In line with the organization’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and good governance, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) has launched the Quality Management System (QMS) Training Program for FY 2025. This initiative aims to reinforce CDA’s adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards while enhancing the capability of its personnel to maintain and improve the agency’s practices enhancing its established QMS. It also addresses not only the learning needs of new personnel but also seeks to correct gaps identified in recent internal audits.
The training program is a key component of CDA’s efforts to sustain its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The program comprises three targeted courses conducted on various dates:
1. 15-16 May 2025 – Training Course on Auditing QMS (in-person)
Introduces the fundamentals of ISO 9001:2015 and encourages employee participation in continual improvement.

2. 28-30 May 2025 – ISO 9001:2015 Standard Awareness Course (online)
Provides practical skills in planning, conducting, and reporting internal quality audits based on ISO 19011:2018.

3. 09-10 June 2025 – Workshop on QMS Documentation (in-person)
Focuses on developing and managing QMS documents effectively and to improve existing documentation processes.

Through this program, over 180 personnel from both the Head Office and Regional Extension Offices were trained. These include newly hired employees, newly assigned document controllers, document custodians, and members of the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team. The training also served as a refresher for document controllers, document custodians, and internal quality auditors who had previous training but needed to update their knowledge, especially since their last orientation was conducted several years ago.
The training sessions were facilitated by Ms. Mary Glory Caunin and Mr. Zyrus Oyong, Quality Management Experts from JBDC Occupational Health Safety and Environmental Consultancy. Both trainers provided valuable insights and shared practical approaches to implementing, strengthening, and sustaining the CDA’s established QMS.
By investing in personnel competence and system integrity, the CDA reaffirms its mission of delivering reliable, citizen-centered services and nurturing a culture of quality throughout the cooperative sector.
