Aiming to introduce the Credit Surety Fund (CSF) Program to more cooperatives and gain more partners, the CDA-CAR Extension Office, through its CSF Section, conducted a brief orientation about the program during the conduct of a mandatory training to small and micro cooperatives last February 8, 2024 through virtual platform.
Attended by 114 participants from 42 cooperatives, the activity was primarily intended to train cooperative officers on the Fundamentals of Cooperatives. Capitalizing on this opportunity, Mr. Lotes P. Lab-oyan, Senior CDS of the CSF Section, shared significant information regarding the CSF Program.
The orientation focused on the salient features of Republic Act 10744 or the Credit Surety Fund Cooperative Act of 2015 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. Also highlighted were the purpose of Credit Surety Fund Cooperatives and the members composing it with their respective qualifications.
To maximize the reach of the program, the section intends to continue integrating CSF orientations into other activities to attract more participants in the program. (MEM)
