The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), along with the Urdaneta City University (UCU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA, establishing of the CDA Law Awareness Program (CLAP) last February 8, 2024, at the said university, located in Urdaneta City.
The CLAP aims to create a dynamic framework for collaborative development, fostering a connection between academia and the cooperative sector through educating Law Student Practitioners on the substantive and procedural aspects of the Cooperative Development Authority Charter of 2019 (also known as RA 11364), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and related laws and rules. The CLAP is also a comprehensive program that integrates theoretical knowledge into practical, real-world applications.
The signing of the CLAP anticipates additional partnerships with the Authority in the future, expanding the knowledge and the awareness on the country’s cooperative sector. Apart from the UCU, the CLAP has also been recently signed on the University of Makati (UMAK), as well as at the University of the Cordilleras (UC), located in Baguio City.
