The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are post Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) composed of 17 goals and 169 targets which the 193 member-countries of the United Nation and Civil Society Organizations are expected to pursue in a period ending 2030 in a non-binding agreement. The SDGs are also known as “Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. The SDGs are built on the principle “The Future We Want” agreed upon under UN Resolution #/RES/66/288.
